3rd Line Support Engineer

Location: Cheltenham (Hybrid working)

Salary: £45,000–£48,000

Our client, a leading IT services provider, is hiring a 3rd Line Support Engineer to play a key role in delivering high-level technical support and infrastructure expertise. This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse client base, resolving complex issues and contributing to ongoing service improvement.

What you’ll do:

Provide 3rd line support across a range of infrastructure technologies

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical incidents and escalations

Support and maintain servers, networks, and cloud environments

Assist with project delivery, including system upgrades and migrations

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing

You’ll work closely with service desk teams, infrastructure specialists, and clients to ensure high-quality service delivery and continuous improvement.

What we’re looking for:

Proven experience in a 3rd line support role

Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, O365, Azure)

Experience with networking (firewalls, switches, VPNs)

Virtualisation experience (e.g. VMware or Hyper-V)

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
