Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting experienced 7.5t Home Delivery Drivers for a well-known client based in Ipswich.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable 7.5t Driver to join a multi-national organisation with excellent long-term prospects, career development opportunities, and the chance to become a permanent member of the team.
The 7.5t Home Delivery Driver role involves working alongside a Driver’s Mate to deliver large goods directly to residential properties. Deliveries will include items such as televisions, flat-pack furniture, gym equipment, white goods, and other large household products.
Due to the nature of the deliveries, the successful 7.5t Delivery Driver must be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling, as the role involves lifting and moving heavy goods.
The Role
As a 7.5t Home Delivery Driver, you will provide a high-quality delivery service to customers, ensuring goods are delivered safely and professionally. The company operates a “room of choice” delivery service, and full training will be provided to ensure you are confident completing deliveries to the required standard.
You will work as part of a two-person delivery team, supporting customers while representing the company and maintaining excellent levels of customer service.
Training & Assessment Process
Following a successful application, all new 7.5t Drivers will be required to complete:

A driving assessment
*
A multiple-choice Highway Code and tachograph exam
*
A full induction day on the following day
Full training and support will be provided to help you succeed in the role.
Working Hours
*
The company operates 7 days a week
*
Drivers will be offered either a 5 or 6 day rota
*
Weekend work will be required
*
Start times: 06:00
*
Shifts typically last 8–10 hours
Pay Rates
*
£17.15 per hour (including holiday pay)
*
Overtime: £22.97 per hour (applicable after 48 hours worked in the week)
After 12 weeks, successful 7.5t Home Delivery Drivers may be offered a contract directly with the company.

A valid UK driving licence

Valid CPC qualification

Valid Digital Tachograph Card

No more than 6 points on your driving licence

The ability to pass a drug and alcohol test if required
