Apply NowThe Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Portsmouth area. We are looking for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers to join the team.
Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00am starts
Pay Rates: £16.05 per hour with overtime of £23.43 after 40 hours
Location: PO9 4FE
Job Type: Ongoing
The role:
* Multi-drop collections and deliveries
* Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
* Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring road worthiness and compliance with company standards.
* Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
* Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
Requirements:
* Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1)
* New pass welcome to apply (assessment will be required for anyone under 12 months)
* Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
* No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
* Full understanding of WTD legislation.
* Excellent communication skills.
* A safety-first mindset.
