We are recruiting an Accounts Clerk & Payroll experience to join our Client in their established and growing Finance Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take on a varied role, supporting both the accounts and payroll functions within a busy working environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Processing purchase ledger invoices and ensuring accurate coding
* Managing sales ledger transactions and customer accounts
* Processing supplier payments and assisting with payment runs
* Completing bank reconciliations and allocating payments
* Assisting with the preparation of monthly accounts
* Processing payroll accurately and ensuring employees are paid on time
* Maintaining payroll records and employee information
* Processing starters, leavers and employee changes
* Assisting with PAYE, pension contributions and payroll deductions
* Supporting month-end procedures and financial reporting
* Responding to accounts and payroll queries
* Providing general support to the wider finance team
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience within an Accounts Clerk, Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
* Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounts processes
* Previous experience processing payroll
* Good knowledge of purchase ledger, sales ledger and bank reconciliations
* Experience using accounting and payroll software
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
* Good communication skills and the ability to resolve queries
* Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
* A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
