Neurodevelopmental services

Independent ADHD assessment and prescribing clinics

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Conducting ADHD assessments using validated tools and structured clinical interviews across child and/or adult populations

Gathering multi-informant data from patients, families, carers, and schools

Contributing to diagnostic formulations within an MDT framework

Managing medication initiation, titration, monitoring, and review in line with NICE guidelines

Providing psychoeducation and coaching support to individuals with ADHD and their families

Producing clear, high-quality written assessment reports and clinical correspondence

Supporting patients through post-diagnostic pathways and onward referral where appropriate

Maintaining accurate and contemporaneous clinical records

Participating in MDT meetings, clinical supervision, and audit

What we need from you

Essential:

Relevant professional registration (NMC, GMC, HCPC, or equivalent) — we welcome clinicians from nursing, psychiatry, and psychology backgrounds

Demonstrable experience in ADHD assessment and/or treatment

Familiarity with validated ADHD assessment tools (e.g. Conners, DIVA, SNAP-IV, CAARS, QbTest)

Strong written communication skills for report writing and clinical correspondence

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)

Up-to-date mandatory training including safeguarding at the appropriate level

Working knowledge of NICE ADHD guidelines

Desirable (but not always required):

Prescribing qualification or experience working within a prescribing pathway

Experience across both child and adult ADHD populations

Competency in co-occurring neurodevelopmental presentations (ASD, DCD, anxiety)

Experience with Right to Choose or independent ADHD services

Supervisory or mentorship experience
