Asset Care Technician – Join Branston’s Production Team

Branston is seeking an Asset Care Technician to take full responsibility for one of our most critical production lines. This is a hands-on role where you’ll oversee the performance of our Celox machine and washline, ensuring safe, efficient operations while maintaining exceptional quality standards. You will also be responsible for managing a small team. Shift Pattern

B Shift: 06:30 – Finish

Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday

Week 2: Thursday, Friday & Saturday

Your Role

As the Asset Care Technician, you will lead all shift operations within the washline, with a strong focus on understanding, optimising, and owning the performance of the Celox system and data flow.

Washline & Celox Ownership

Take full operational ownership of the Celox machine and washline

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal efficiency

Manage and interpret data control systems to drive performance improvements

Analyse data trending to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and improve output

Take accountability for crop utilisation, ensuring maximum yield and minimal loss

Shift Operations & Planning

Ensure pre-shift checks are completed and escalate issues promptly

Allocate labour effectively, including coordination with agencies

Communicate shift readiness and updates to Production, Planning, and Technical teams

Monitor attendance, manage absence trends, and conduct RTW interviews

Team Leadership & Development

Lead, mentor, and support team members to achieve high performance

Support new starters through onboarding and probation

Conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, and development planning

Ensure all team members are fully trained and meet technical standards

Partner with HR on employee relations and investigations

Process Ownership & Quality

Own washline processes, combining hands-on inspection with data insight

Identify mechanical or system variances and work with Engineering to resolve

Collaborate with QA to maintain quality standards and GMP compliance

Enforce strict adherence to safety, hygiene, and PPE requirements

Performance & Continuous Improvement

Track and report on productivity, efficiency, and quality metrics through SIC

Use data insights and trend analysis to drive continuous improvement

Foster a culture of accountability and performance excellence

Identify and implement best practices across the washline operation

Skills & Experience

Proven leadership experience

Confident working with data systems and Excel

Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment

Strong understanding of process optimisation and performance metrics

Ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams

Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
