Asset Integrity & Reliability Engineer

Location: Shotton, Flintshire (CH5)

Salary: £40,000–£45,000 + bonus and excellent benefits

We’re recruiting an Asset Integrity & Reliability Engineer for a major manufacturing site in Shotton.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of asset reliability, improve plant availability and reduce unplanned downtime within a fast-paced process environment.

The role

You’ll work closely with maintenance, operations and engineering teams to develop a more proactive, data-led approach to asset care. Key responsibilities will include:

* Developing risk-based preventative maintenance plans

* Completing asset condition, criticality and obsolescence surveys

* Maintaining an Asset Risk Register and delivering improvement plans

* Using RCA, FMEA and RCM techniques to improve reliability and MTBF

* Introducing and developing condition-monitoring techniques, including vibration analysis, thermography and lubrication analysis

* Planning and coordinating maintenance shutdowns and line outages

* Reviewing critical spares and improving inventory accuracy and availability

* Supporting capital projects with scopes, business cases and acceptance criteria

* Coaching operators in basic asset care and autonomous maintenance

* Ensuring all work meets required health, safety, quality and environmental standards

What we’re looking for

* HNC or higher qualification in a relevant engineering discipline

* Practical engineering experience within manufacturing, process, production or another high-volume environment

* Working knowledge of reliability tools such as FMEA, RCA and RCM

* Experience of preventative maintenance, CMMS scheduling and condition monitoring

* Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills

* Ability to turn technical data into clear, practical maintenance actions

* Confident communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments

* A safety-focused and methodical approach

* Salary of £40,000–£45,000
