Assistant General Manager – 5* Hotel, Argyll & Bute, Scotland, £40k, live in accommodation

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Assistant General Manager to join this stunning luxury hotel. Set in the idyllic remote Scottish Highlands, this tranquil boutique hotel features a spa and rosette restaurant as well catering for weddings, events and private functions.

What you will be doing:

Working alongside Management in supporting/running of properties

Covering long term absences as well as staff shortages

Taking responsibilities for management of staff

Involved in training and development

Hands on in all areas including day to day operations

Liaising with guests and ensuring guest satisfaction is more than exceeded

What we were looking for:

an enthusiastic Deputy General Manager or Junior/Assistant Operations Manager with a proven work history

experience and working knowledge within a 5* or (minimum) 4* hotels

attention to detail with exceptional customer service skills

ability to resolve any issues in a logical and practical manner

ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm and reasonable

hands on in all areas and able to jump in where needed

happy to be located in a remote area
