Location: Northern Ireland (with UK and overseas travel)

Salary: £63,240 - £73,828 plus benefits
Shift Allowance: £5,000
Shift Pattern: 5/5/4 (Day shift 08:00-20:00)
Accommodation: Subsidised on-shift accommodation (£5 per day)
Training: Type rating training provided (subject to bonding agreement)
About the Opportunity
We are supporting a leading aviation services provider in the recruitment of a B1.1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer (LAE). This position offers an excellent opportunity for an engineer seeking to progress within a highly regulated and operationally focused environment.
The role is suitable for candidates who are newly licensed or working towards a UK CAA Part 66 B1.1 Licence. Funded training support is available, subject to a bonding agreement.
The successful candidate will contribute to aircraft safety, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness across both base maintenance and deployed environments.
Role Overview
The B1.1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer will:
Support the Crew Chief and report to the Chief Engineer
Ensure aircraft maintenance is conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements
Operate across both main operating base and deployed locations (UK and overseas)
Contribute to engineering decision-making and continuous improvement activities
Provide supervision and mentorship to junior engineering personnel
Key Responsibilities
Certify aircraft maintenance in accordance with UK CAA and applicable regulatory standards
Supervise aircraft ground movements as required
Maintain accurate and compliant technical records and documentation
Plan and coordinate maintenance activities to meet operational and budgetary requirements
Deputise for the Crew Chief when required
Promote Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) and security compliance
Support operational deployments within the UK and internationally
Essential Requirements
UK CAA Part 66 B1.1 Licence (unrestricted)
B1.3 or B2 ratings considered advantageous
Strong understanding of aviation regulatory frameworks and compliance
Experience supervising or leading engineering teams
Willingness to work shifts and deploy overseas
Eligibility for UK Security Clearance and ITAR compliance
Medically fit for operational duties
