Apply NowA well-established manufacturer within the animal bedding industry, supplying both retail and agricultural sectors, is seeking a Baling Shed Operator to join its production team. This role is integral to ensuring the efficient operation of automated baling machinery and maintaining high standards of product quality.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate automated baling machinery to produce high-quality animal bedding products
* Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
* Carry out routine equipment checks and basic maintenance to minimise downtime
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet production targets and deadlines
* Undertake manual handling and heavy lifting tasks as required
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
* Accurately record production data for reporting and tracking purposes
* Adhere to all workplace policies, procedures, and safety regulations
Qualifications and Experience
* Demonstrable mechanical knowledge, particularly in operating baling machinery
* Experience in a physically demanding role involving manual handling
* Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to workplace safety
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing production requirements
* Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is desirable
Job Details
* Job Type: Full-time
* Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00–16:00 or 07:00–17:00
* Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour
