Contract: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: £100-£125 per day (negotiable)
Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
We are seeking a confident, resilient and highly adaptable Behaviour Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN school supporting students aged 11-19 (KS3-KS5). This is a full-time role suited to someone with previous SEN school experience who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is comfortable responding to changing needs throughout the school day.
You will play a key role in supporting behaviour, engagement and emotional regulation across the school, working closely with teaching and pastoral staff.
The Role:
Provide in-class behaviour support across multiple lessons and departments
Respond quickly and professionally to behaviour support requests from staff
Deliver short-term, targeted interventions on a 1:1 or 1:2 basis
Support students with regulation, engagement and transitions
Assist with off-site activities, including swimming and outdoor learning
Follow changing timetables and priorities with flexibility and professionalism
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience working in a specialist SEN school (essential)
Be flexible and confident supporting different age groups and needs
Be physically active and able to support students with complex needs
Demonstrate resilience and confidence managing behaviours that challenge
Communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Maintain a calm, professional and proactive approach at all times
Please note: Mainstream-only experience or sports coaching backgrounds are not suitable for this role.
