Bookkeeper
You will be supporting a great MD – no micromanaging from him and a great team.
Ideally you will have experience of CIS and subcontractors.
What we need is someone reliable, switched-on, and confident enough to take ownership of the finance function, not just process invoices.
This is a hands-on role for someone experienced who takes pride in keeping the numbers accurate, the cash flowing, and the business organised.
What You’ll Be Doing
Managing purchase ledger end-to-end (invoices, reconciliations, payments)
Running sales ledger & credit control
Full bank reconciliations and transaction posting
Managing expenses and company spend
Managing payroll processes
Additional Responsibilities
Month-end reconciliations and reporting
Maintaining accurate financial records
Managing day-to-day cash flow visibility
Liaising with internal teams and external suppliers
Keeping systems organised and up to date
CIS returns and subcontractor payments
Working within a subcontractor-heavy environment
What YOU will bring to the role
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role
Strong knowledge of Sage
Solid understanding of end-to-end accounts
Able to work independently without supervision
Strong attention to detail and organisation
2 years bookkeeping experience
And if you have this experience all the better!

• Background in construction, engineering, or similar sectors
