Business Area Manager
Business Area Manager – Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and monitor the day-to-day operations of designated projects to achieve profit targets and key performance objectives.
• Work with senior management to establish operational objectives, plans, and budgets.
• Promote the business through excellent customer care and client relationship management.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, trade associations, industry bodies, and key business contacts.
• Review and approve estimates, monitor contract performance, and manage variations and final accounts.
• Identify new sales opportunities and contribute to sales and marketing plans to support business growth.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends to protect and enhance company profitability.
• Support employee development through training and performance management.
• Attend management and sales meetings to review company performance and future opportunities.
• Accept customer orders and coordinate their execution to ensure contract requirements are met.
• Assist in maintaining the company’s reputation for quality, competitiveness, and customer satisfaction.
Business Area Manager – Required Personal Attributes:
• Proven experience in a senior operational or business management role within construction, engineering, or building services.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge including variations, cost forecasting, and final accounts.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong business development and client relationship management experience.
