An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a well-established global logistics organisation. This role will focus heavily on winning new business and building long-term customer relationships, with a particular focus on the energy, engineering and industrial sectors.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional who thrives on identifying opportunities, developing pipelines and converting prospects into measurable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities within the logistics and freight forwarding market

Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline, taking ownership of the full commercial customer journey

Build and maintain relationships with clients across energy, engineering and industrial sectors

Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals and commercial negotiations

Promote air and ocean freight services for both import and export movements

Attend meetings, networking events and client visits across the UK

Record activity, visit reports and pipeline updates within the company CRM system

Monitor market trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive position

Candidate Requirements

Proven Business Development / Sales experience within freight forwarding or logistics

Strong knowledge of air and ocean freight services

Experience working with clients within energy, engineering or industrial sectors

Demonstrated success in winning new business and growing revenue pipelines

Confident negotiator with excellent communication and presentation skills

Highly motivated self-starter able to work autonomously

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

Package

£60,000 - £70,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
