Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and mobility.
Support medication administration under supervision, adhering to enhanced safety protocols.
Create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for all residents.
Foster an inclusive atmosphere that respects cultural, religious, and individual differences.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care.
Maintain accurate and confidential care records in line with regulatory standards.
Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Respond promptly and compassionately to residents' needs and concerns.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a diverse team.
Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion principles.
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
Willingness to undertake relevant training and professional development.

Day-to-Day

Your typical day working for Connect2Swindon will involve engaging with residents to assist with their daily routines, from morning care to evening support. You will work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals, attend team meetings, and contribute to care planning. Each day offers meaningful interactions where your support directly enhances resident's well being, within a culture that values respect and individuality.
