Carpenter

Key Responsibilities

Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials.

*

Install structures such as doors, windows, frameworks, floors, and staircases.

*

Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

*

Repair or replace damaged wooden structures.

*

Work with other trades and site supervisors to complete tasks on time.

*

Maintain a clean and safe working area.

Skills & Requirements

*

Basic carpentry skills and knowledge of construction methods.

*

Ability to read simple plans and measurements.

*

Experience using carpentry tools and equipment.

*

Good attention to detail.

*

Ability to work as part of a team.

Qualifications (Preferred)

*

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry and Joinery (or equivalent).

*

CSCS card for working on construction sites
