Carpenter
About the role
You’ll be carrying out day-to-day repairs, planned maintenance, and occasional larger refurbishment works within occupied and void social housing properties. From hanging doors and fitting kitchens to repairing flooring, fencing, and general woodwork, no two days are quite the same.
You’ll be working in people’s homes, so professionalism, respect, and clear communication are just as important as your tools.
What you’ll be doing:
Responsive carpentry repairs and maintenance
Installing doors, frames, skirting, kitchens, and other fittings
Completing jobs right first time where possible
Keeping work areas tidy and safe
Communicating clearly with tenants and colleagues
Accurately recording completed work
What we’re looking for:
Proven experience as a Carpenter/Joiner (social housing experience is a bonus, not essential)
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Carpentry & Joinery (preferred)
Full UK driving licence
