Carpenter Multi Trader
They are looking for an enthusiastic Carpenter Multi to join their team, working across the University of Southampton’s residential halls and estates. This is a permanent role, ideal for someone looking to advance their career and gain hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out a wide variety of carpentry repairs in occupied student accommodation, buildings, and empty rooms.
* Tasks include: fitting doors (including fire doors), first and second fixing, kitchen installations, ceramic wall tiling, carpet tiling, minor decorative works, and minor glazing tasks.
* Diagnose and rectify faults related to core and other trade-based requests.
* Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety, following risk assessments, method statements, and using PPE.
* Support other trades and respond to emergencies efficiently.
* Keep clients and supervisors updated on progress.
* Participate in out-of-hours work and call-out rota as required.

Qualifications & Experience
* NVQ Level 2-3 in Carpentry (or equivalent).
* 2–5 years’ experience in building maintenance and educational environments.
* Basic DBS check required
