The successful Cell Leader will be easily able to commute to Huddersfield from surrounding towns & cities, including Leeds, Dewsbury, Halifax, Wakefield and Brighouse.
Key Responsibilities Cell leader
Lead the day-to-day running of the Assembly area, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
Manage, support, and motivate a team of 8-15 employees, acting as the first point of contact
Plan and organise workloads to meet production targets, ensuring clear priorities and sufficient work for each shift
Monitor and maintain quality, cost, and delivery performance in line with business objectives
Drive continuous improvement activities (5S, Kaizen) while maintaining high housekeeping and safety standards
Oversee team administration, including attendance, training plans, and maintaining skills matricesWorking Hours of the Cell leader
37.5 hours per week
Monday to Friday

NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with strong hands-on assembly experience
Previous team leadership or people management experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
Good understanding of Health & Safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement methods
Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
