Children's Care Assistant/ Support Worker – Cardiff, South Wales

Airmid Staffing is looking for experienced Care Assistants and Support Workers who have worked with children to provide respite care and support children in accessing community activities across the Greater Cardiff area.

This is an excellent opportunity for Care Assistants and Support Workers seeking a rewarding part-time role, with the chance to develop their skills and experience in children's care. Ongoing shifts are available, with training and clinical support provided.

About the role

You will be supporting a child with ASD.

Providing support, by taking the young person out in the community

Managing the YP's behaviours

Managing choking risks (the YP puts objects in their mouth to "regulate")

Personal care responsibilities

Escalation of concerns

Hours of cover- 7 Days a week, 4 Hours afternoon.

We are looking for Care Staff who have:

Relevant QCF/ NVQ qualification

Experience working with Children

Registration with Social Care Wales

A calm, professional and child-centred approach

Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a wider care team
