Civil Engineer (London)
Location: London office

Salary: £30k to £45k pa depending on level and experience
This is a great opportunity to join a growing infrastructure team delivering large-scale residential developments from concept through to construction as part of a supportive outgoing team?
You will be part of a collaborative environment working closely with transport and flood risk specialists, contributing to schemes ranging from 100 units to multi-thousand dwelling masterplans, alongside a mix of commercial, industrial and energy projects.
The role
You will play a key part in the design and delivery of development infrastructure schemes, taking projects from feasibility through planning and into detailed design.
Deliver drainage and infrastructure design across a range of projects
Support senior engineers and take ownership of your own projects
Produce and review drawings, calculations and technical reports
Work across planning and detailed design stages
Liaise with clients, authorities and internal teams
Mentor and support junior engineers where appropriate What you’ll be doing
Developing drainage strategies and detailed drainage designs
Producing levels strategies and earthworks appraisals
Preparing planning documents i.e. Flood Risk Assessments
Supporting land due diligence and site appraisals
Producing detailed design and construction drawings
Securing technical approvals including S104, S38 and S278 About you
Minimum of 2 years experience in a consultancy environment, working on residential development schemes is essential
Strong technical understanding of drainage and highways design standards
Familiar with relevant guidance such as Sewer Sector Guidance, Building Regulations, DMRB and CIRIA C753
Proficient in MicroDrainage/Flow and AutoCAD
Working knowledge of Civils 3D or Site 3D would be beneficial
Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach
