We're recruiting for an experienced CNC Programmer / Production Engineer to join a specialist Machine Shop working on complex, high-precision components across small-batch, prototype and one-off manufacturing.
The role has a strong focus on 5-axis CNC programming using Open Mind Hypermill.
The Role
Create and optimise CNC programmes using Hypermill.
Programme complex components across 3-axis, 3+2 and 5-axis machining.
Produce tooling, set-up and manufacturing documentation.
Support prototype and small-batch production.
Troubleshoot machining and production issues.
Support production planning, scheduling and pricing.
Liaise with Design, Production, Purchasing and customers.
Support tooling, TPM, maintenance and continuous improvement.
Maintain accurate ERP, programme and job-pack information.
About You
3+ years' Hypermill CAD/CAM programming experience.
Strong 5-axis Hypermill programming experience - essential.
Genuine hands-on CNC programming experience.
Experience with complex, high-precision machining.
Background in small-batch/prototype manufacturing.
Experience with 3-axis, 3+2 and 5-axis machining.
Strong engineering drawing and GD&T knowledge.
FANUC experience advantageous.
Matsuura and/or Colchester experience advantageous.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
