A long-established precision engineering company with a strong reputation for customer excellence and responsiveness is seeking skilled CNC professionals to join its modern, well-equipped machine shop based in Durham.
Working Hours
Twin Shift Pattern:
*
6:00am – 2:00pm and 2:00pm – 11:25pm (Monday–Thursday, alternating)
*
6:00am – 12:00pm (Friday – early shift only)
*
Average: 36.33 hours per week
Salary
*
Programmers: £17 – £20 per hour (depending on experience) + 20% shift allowance
*
Setter/Operators: £14 – £17 per hour
*
Overtime available most weeks

Role Requirements
*
Time-served apprenticeship
*
Minimum 5 years’ experience of billet work
*
Must be competent at programming/editing NC programs
*
Ability to read and follow aerospace protocols and achieve/maintain high levels of quality
*
Experience setting and running Haas CNC turning centres
*
Ability to work unsupervised
*
Self-motivated
*
Must be well organised
Role Responsibilities
*
Work safely at all times
*
Ensure all parts produced meet drawing requirements
*
Complete check sheets as quality records
*
Complete OEE sheets to aid continuous improvement
*
Prevent Foreign Object Debris (FOD) contamination
*
Create/update setup sheets as required
*
Appropriate use of PPE
