JRS Associates Ltd has partnered with a leading precision engineering manufacturer to recruit an experienced CNC Turner – Programmer, Setter, Operator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering business manufacturing high-precision components for the aerospace industry, offering long-term job security, modern machining facilities and excellent working hours.
Working within a skilled machining team, you'll be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC turning centres, producing precision aerospace components to demanding quality standards.
The Successful CNC Turner – Programmer, Setter, Operator – Package
* £17.00 – £18.00 per hour
* Permanent position
* Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm & Friday: 8:00am – 1:00pm
* Early finish every Friday

The Successful CNC Turner – Programmer, Setter, Operator – Role
* Program, set and operate CNC Turning Centres using Fanuc controls
* Produce precision-machined aerospace components to engineering drawings
* Interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T and tight tolerances
* Select appropriate tooling, inserts and cutting parameters
* Machine components to exact customer specifications
* Carry out first-off and in-process inspection using manual measuring equipment
* Monitor tooling, offsets and cycle times to maximise productivity
* Identify and resolve machining issues and non-conformances
* Work in accordance with AS9100 quality procedures
* Support continuous improvement initiatives
* Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
The Successful CNC Turner – Programmer, Setter, Operator – Requirements
* Previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC Turning Centres
* Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls
* Able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T
* Experience machining precision components to tight tolerances
* Competent using Micrometers, Vernier Callipers, Bore Gauges and Thread Gauges
* Good understanding of tooling, cutting data and machining processes
* Aerospace or precision engineering experience preferred
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
