Commercial Catering Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
* Installation & Commissioning:
* Install new commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, refrigeration units, dishwashers, fryers, and other appliances.
* Set up and configure appliances to manufacturer specifications.
* Maintenance & Repairs:
* Conduct regular maintenance checks on kitchen equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose faults, carrying out repairs on a wide range of equipment.
* Perform repairs on equipment that may be out of warranty or no longer covered by a service agreement.
* Safety & Compliance:
* Ensure that all equipment complies with relevant health and safety regulations, as well as electrical and gas safety standards.
* Ensure all work is carried out according to local and national laws.
* Advise customers on safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
* Customer Service:
* Communicate clearly with customers, ensuring they understand the technical aspects of the repairs or installations.
* Provide excellent customer service to build long-term client relationships.
* Provide quotes for repairs or maintenance, as well as advice on product upgrades or replacements.
* Stock Management:
* Manage and maintain an inventory of parts and tools.
* Order parts and materials as needed for repairs or installations.
* Documentation & Reporting:
* Maintain accurate service records, including repair history, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
* Prepare reports for clients and management as required
