Choice Teachers are currently working with several secondary schools in the Finsbury Park area who are seeking reliable and confident Cover Supervisors for both long-term roles and flexible day-to-day work. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Cover Supervisor who enjoys working with young people and has strong behaviour management skills.
The successful Cover Supervisor will supervise classes in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain on task and that the learning environment is well managed.
About the Role – Cover Supervisor
Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials to classes across Key Stages 3 and 4
Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students stay on task
Support students with their work and maintain a positive learning environment
Take registers and follow school procedures
Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
Work across different subjects depending on school needs
The Ideal Cover Supervisor Will:
Have previous experience working with young people in an education setting
Have strong behaviour management skills
Be confident managing a classroom independently
Have excellent communication and organisational skills
Be flexible, reliable and able to adapt quickly
Be committed to supporting students in their learning
