PK Education are currently seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Rotherham. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with young people and are looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a flexible and rewarding role.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain focused on their work and maintain a positive learning environment. You will deliver pre-prepared lesson materials, manage classroom behaviour, and support students in staying engaged with their learning throughout the lesson.
The Role
Supervising classes across Key Stages 3 and 4 while ensuring students remain on task and complete the work set by the teacher. Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials and maintaining a calm, structured classroom environment. Encouraging student participation and engagement with their learning while managing behaviour in line with school policies. Recording attendance and completing any necessary classroom documentation while working collaboratively with teaching staff and school leadership to ensure lessons run smoothly.
What We’re Looking For
Candidates who have experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational or youth setting. Strong organisational skills and the confidence to manage a classroom effectively. We are looking for reliable, adaptable individuals who are comfortable covering a range of subjects and timetables. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is preferred, or willingness to obtain one.
