Are you a confident, enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisor who can inspire pupils and keep them engaged in their learning?
Do you have strong classroom management skills and the confidence to supervise pupils across KS3 and KS4?
Are you a Welsh speaker looking for an exciting opportunity in a Welsh-medium secondary school?
TeacherActive is working in partnership with a Welsh-medium secondary school in Swansea to recruit a motivated Cover Supervisor for short-term temporary work with an immediate start available!
This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils' learning, build valuable classroom experience and make a real difference in a supportive Welsh-language learning environment.
✨ The Role: What You'll Be Doing
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
Supervise classes across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in the absence of the class teacher.
Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure pupils remain focused and engaged.
Maintain positive behaviour and effective classroom management.
Support pupils in developing their confidence, independence and learning skills.
Create a positive, safe and productive classroom environment.
✅ What We're Looking For
The ideal Cover Supervisor will have:
A relevant qualification or degree (desirable, but not essential).
Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in a secondary school.
Welsh-speaking skills (highly desirable).
Strong classroom management skills and the confidence to lead a class independently.
Excellent communication skills and a positive, proactive and adaptable attitude.
An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one through the registration process.
