Design Manager

GVR Solutions are currently looking for an experienced Design Manager to join a well established joinery fit-out contractor based in Kent who deliver high-quality bespoke interior and commercial fit-out projects. As Design Manager, you will lead and coordinate the design process from concept through to manufacture and installation. You’ll work closely with clients, architects, project managers, and the production team to ensure all designs are practical, accurate, and delivered on programme.

Responsibilities of the Design Manager:

* Manage the design process across multiple joinery and fit-out projects

* Coordinate with architects, consultants, and internal teams

* Review drawings and technical details for manufacture and installation

* Ensure designs meet client specifications, budgets, and programme requirements

* Oversee drawing approvals, revisions, and design documentation

* Support value engineering and problem-solving during project delivery

Requirements of the Design Manager:

* Proven experience in a Design Manager / Senior Designer role within joinery, interiors, or fit-out

* Strong technical knowledge of bespoke joinery and manufacturing processes

* Ability to interpret architectural drawings and produce detailed joinery drawings

* Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders

* Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)

* Excellent organisational and communication skills
