Apply NowGrade A Recruitment are working with a school on the outskirts of Peterborough who are looking to appoint a Design Technology Teacher / Instructor on a full-time basis from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic Design Technology professional to join a supportive school environment. The role will involve teaching Design Technology up to GCSE level and is initially offered as a 12-week temporary position, with the opportunity to secure a permanent role for the right candidate.
Trial days are taking place now for suitable applicants.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons up to GCSE level
* Assess, monitor and record pupil progress
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
* Ensure all practical activities are delivered safely and in line with health and safety requirements
* Contribute to the wider success of the department
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher, Instructor or relevant Design Technology professional
* Experience teaching or delivering Design Technology up to GCSE level
* D&T Association (DATA) Health & Safety accreditation
* Strong classroom management and organisational skills
* Ability to engage and inspire learners
* Passion for Design Technology and pupil achievement
