Progress Teachers are working in partnership with a number of mainstream primary schools in Nottingham to recruit a dedicated Infant / Nursery Practitioners to support children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

This is a rewarding opportunity for those who are passionate about supporting young children’s development, learning, and wellbeing during the crucial early stages of education. The successful candidates will help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children can develop socially, emotionally, and academically through play-based learning.

Key Responsibilities

Support the learning and development of children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Assist in planning and delivering engaging, play-based activities that promote development across all areas of learning

Create a safe, caring, and inclusive environment where children feel secure and supported

Encourage children’s social development, communication skills, and independence

Observe, monitor, and record children’s progress in line with EYFS frameworks

Support daily routines including mealtimes, playtime, and transitions between activities

Assist with personal care and hygiene routines where required

Work collaboratively with nursery staff, teachers, and parents to support each child’s development

Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and early years policies at all times

Requirements

Previous experience working with young children in a nursery, early years, or childcare setting

Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare, or Supporting Teaching & Learning – essential.

A patient, caring, and nurturing approach when working with young children

Good communication and teamwork skills

Understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
