Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Earthworks Foreman to join a well-established and growing civil engineering contractor operating across Scotland. This role will suit a hands-on Earthworks Foreman with strong leadership skills and a solid background in delivering bulk earthworks and infrastructure projects safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate site teams delivering bulk earthworks operations
Ensure all works are carried out in line with programme, specifications, and health & safety standards
Manage plant, labour, and materials to maximise productivity and efficiency
Work closely with Site Engineers and Project Managers to ensure accurate setting out and delivery
Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure workforce compliance
Monitor progress and report updates to senior management
Maintain high standards of quality control across all earthworks activities
Ensure all site documentation and records are completed accurately
Requirements
Proven experience working as an Earthworks Foreman on civil engineering projects
Strong knowledge of bulk earthworks, cut & fill, and groundworks operations
Ability to lead teams and drive productivity on site
Good understanding of health & safety regulations
SSSTS or SMSTS qualification preferred
CPCS/NPORS (advantageous)
Full UK driving licence
