Apply NowWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering bespoke capital machinery projects from concept through to final build.
This role involves full project ownership of machine electrical design, working closely with mechanical and software teams, suppliers and customers.
Key Responsibilities
*
Design electrical control circuits to British & European standards
*
Low-voltage control panel design
*
Component and cable selection
*
Produce and update electrical drawings
*
Ensure compliance with EN60204 and ISO13849
*
Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders
*
Contribute to continuous improvement of machine design
Essential Experience
*
5–10 years’ experience within an engineering design office
*
Strong electrical circuit and control panel design experience
*
Proficient in Electrical CAD (EPLAN, Zuken E3, Promis-e or similar)
*
Knowledge of British & European regulations
*
Experience working to EN60204 and ISO13849
Desirable
*
Capital machinery experience
*
Pneumatic, hydraulic or vacuum systems
*
Variable frequency drives
*
Siemens PLC exposure
*
SAP BOM systems
Education
HNC / HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering
