Electrical Service Engineer – Nottinghamshire
Salary: £42,000 - £50,000 + Overtime + Outstanding Benefits

The Role
As an Electrical Service Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting customers through servicing, maintenance, fault-finding, repairs, and equipment upgrades. You'll work closely with the General Manager, Contracts Director, Internal Sales Engineers, and Technical Services Team to deliver exceptional service standards and identify opportunities to add value for customers.
This role offers a great mix of hands-on engineering work, customer engagement, and technical problem-solving, making it ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their engineering career.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repair work on electrical equipment.
* Diagnose faults and conduct on-site equipment failure investigations.
* Complete monitoring surveys alongside Technical Service Engineers.
* Produce detailed service reports and recommendations for customers.
* Prepare quotations for remedial work, replacement equipment, and additional services.
* Assist with the preparation of RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
* Order required parts and liaise with suppliers to meet customer deadlines.
* Build strong relationships with customers through regular communication and site visits.
* Attend customer meetings to understand operational requirements and provide technical solutions.
* Identify opportunities for additional products, services, and system improvements.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback to management and suppliers.
* Ensure all work is carried out in line with company quality standards, health & safety policies, and industry best practices.
* Complete service contract reviews and maintain accurate documentation and records.
The ideal candidate:
* Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
* Proven experience within a service, maintenance, or field-based electrical engineering role.
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
* Ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively.
* Commercial awareness with the confidence to identify and discuss potential opportunities with customers.
* Commitment to delivering high-quality work and exceptional service standards.
* Full UK driving licence.
