Electrical Supervisor (Water Treatment)
The successful candidate will oversee electrical activities on-site, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards while supporting the successful operation and maintenance of water treatment assets.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise electrical installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities across the water treatment facility
*
Coordinate daily electrical works, ensuring programmes, deadlines, and project requirements are achieved
*
Lead and manage electrical teams, subcontractors, and site personnel
*
Ensure all electrical works are completed safely and in accordance with company procedures, industry standards, and client specifications
*
Carry out inspections, testing, and quality checks on electrical installations
*
Support fault finding, diagnostics, and resolution of electrical issues across plant equipment
*
Review electrical drawings, schematics, cable schedules, and technical documentation
*
Coordinate with mechanical, process, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth project delivery
*
Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements, including RAMS, permits, and safe systems of work
*
Provide progress updates, reports, and technical feedback to the Site Manager / Project Manager
Experience Required
The ideal candidate will have:
*
Proven experience working as an Electrical Supervisor within an industrial, infrastructure, utilities, or engineering environment
*
Experience working on water treatment plants, wastewater facilities, pumping stations, or similar process environments
*
Strong knowledge of electrical installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance
*
Experience supervising electrical teams and subcontractors
*
Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
*
Good understanding of LV electrical systems, control panels, MCCs, instrumentation, and associated plant equipment
*
Strong focus on health & safety and quality standards
Qualifications
Essential:
*
Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent)
*
SSSTS / SMSTS (or equivalent supervisory qualification)
*
ECS / JIB card (where applicable)
*
Relevant experience within industrial electrical environments
Desirable:
*
Water industry experience
*
Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, telemetry, or control systems
*
Experience working under CDM regulations
