Embedded Software Engineer

The role involves developing C/C++ and Python code that runs on Zephyr RTOS. Specific experience with Zephyr itself isn't essential, but candidates must have deep, hands-on experience with at least one other RTOS, be up-to-date with modern coding techniques and ideally come from a computer science background.
RATE: Up to £65ph
DURATION: 6 months
START: ASAP
IR35: Outside
LOCATION: Remote with very infrequent travel to site (Cheltenham)
Skills required for the role are:
* C / C++ & Python expertise
* Deep knowledge of RTOS (BSPs, kernel dev, drivers, power management etc)
* Modern coding languages / techniques
* Computer science background or interest
Beneficial skills would be:
* Zephyr RTOS
* Medical device industry exposure
* BLE / Bluetooth / IoT industry exposure
