Are you a passionate and inspiring QTS English Teacher looking for your next exciting opportunity? We’re working with a selection of amazing secondary schools in Peterborough who are on the lookout for talented English Teachers to join their teams on a temp-to-perm basis, with ASAP and September 2025 starts available.
About the Role:
These schools are known for their supportive leadership teams, strong department structures, and commitment to student success. As a QTS English Teacher, you will be delivering engaging and creative lessons across KS3 and KS4, and possibly KS5 depending on experience and school.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Monitor and assess student progress, adapting lessons to meet a range of learning needs
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that inspires a love of English
* Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and whole-school development
* Support extracurricular activities related to literacy and language
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
* Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
* Strong classroom management skills
* Passion for English and the ability to bring the subject to life
* Commitment to inclusive education and student development
* Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one

*QTS Teachers will receive a £250 voucher when registered with Grade A after working a minimum of 10 days
