Examiner- GCE A Level - Physics (2016 Specification) - Fully Remote
Responsibilities
To mark accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained
To submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times
To ensure milestones for marking are adhered to
To ensure all administration is completed as specified
Experience/qualifications needed
You will have at least one academic year's worth of teaching experience:
a. within the last 8 years
b. at the required knowledge equivalent to A Level
c. since qualifying as a teacher
You will have a degree (or equivalent) in Physics or a closely related subject
If your degree is in a different subject, you must have at least 3 years of experience teaching A Level Physics.
You will be a qualified teacher
OR
You have at least one academic year's worth of teaching experience
You are a retired teacher with extensive experience and valuable expertise
You have a degree (or equivalent)
You are a qualified teacher
Experience desirable
You will have experience teaching/assessing practical work ( 9PH0_03)
Competencies required
You will have the ability to work well under pressure
You will have the ability to meet deadlines
You will have a high level of subject knowledge in order to apply the mark scheme
Additional information
The marking period is between May - July.
The training required to mark as an examiner will take place between May and June.
