A well established High Street law firm is seeking a Family Paralegal to join its Family team in Newbury. This Family Paralegal role offers exposure to a broad range of private family matters, supporting solicitors throughout the full case lifecycle. The Family Paralegal will gain hands-on experience across client care, legal drafting and case preparation. This Family Paralegal opportunity is suited to someone looking to build a long-term career within family law.

The Company?

The successful Family Paralegal will join a respected local law firm with an established Family team advising clients on a wide range of private family matters. The team provides a supportive working environment, ongoing mentoring and direct exposure to client work alongside experienced solicitors.

The Role

As the Family Paralegal you will support fee earners across a varied caseload of family matters.

The role will include:

* Assisting with divorce, financial remedy and private children matters
* Preparing legal documents, correspondence and court bundles
* Conducting legal research and case preparation
* Managing case files and maintaining accurate records
* Liaising with clients, barristers, courts and third parties
* Supporting domestic abuse and cohabitation matters
* Assisting with general file administration and case progression
* Monitoring deadlines and ensuring matters progress efficiently

The Family Paralegal?

You will have previous family law experience and a genuine interest in developing your career within family law.

The Family Paralegal must have:

* Previous experience within a Family Law team
* Strong drafting and communication skills
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
* Professional, empathetic and client focused approach
* Strong administrative and case management skills
* Good IT and case management system skills
* Ability to work effectively within a team
