We are recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Fettler / Assembly Operative to join a growing manufacturing business. This hands-on role involves fettling, grinding, finishing and assembling fabricated components to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
Fettle, grind, linish and finish fabricated metal components.
Remove weld spatter, sharp edges and imperfections.
Assemble products using hand and power tools.
Read and work from engineering drawings and instructions.
Carry out visual quality inspections and report defects.
Meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Maintain a safe, clean and organised work area.RequirementsEssential

Previous manufacturing or engineering experience.
Experience using grinders, sanders and other hand-held power tools.
Ability to read basic engineering drawings.
Good attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.Desirable

Fettling, metal finishing or fabrication experience.
Experience assembling fabricated products.
Knowledge of stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium.
Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
Overhead Crane experience.Hours:

40 hours per week

Rotating shift pattern - 6-2 2-10 rotating fortnightly

£173 monthly shift allowance
