Job Purpose

Manage and support field sales team. Grow sales in the independent sector.

Main Responsibilities:-

* Manage Field Sales Team – Full management of field sales team, including setting targets, team and individual meetings, pushing for sales & margin growth.

* Support Field Sales Team – Spend time with field team in their regions, understanding key drivers of sales and challenges they face, providing support they need. Visit customers alongside the salesperson and assist in selling process.

* Sales Analysis & Reporting – Use various platforms to generate reports to monitor and improve sales performance. Use data to analyse sales, identify opportunities and improve service and output.

* Train and Develop – Work closely with field sales team to assess capabilities, identify areas of improvement and deliver sales training and coaching.

* Customer Relationships – Alongside salespeople develop relationships with customers/buyers via face-to-face meetings, showroom visits, Teams etc.

* New Ideas – Creative input to generate ideas for improving sales, such as new technology, sales methods, new ranges, commercial changes, operational improvements.

* Internal Team – Work closely with key colleagues and department heads to improve communication and understanding relating to the independent sector and field sales team.

Essential Skills & Experience

* Sales Management experience

* Proven track record of sales growth & developing salespeople

* Analytical skills

* Strong commercial awareness and experience

* Positive attitude and can-do approach

* Excellent communication skills

* Willing to travel frequently (UK & Ireland)

Desirable Skills & Experience

* Sector experience
