Location: Home-based – covering the North East area
Hours: 42.5 hours per week (door-to-door paid) + on-call rota, overtime
Salary: Up to £40,000 + overtime
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience as a Fire & Security / Life Safety Systems Engineer
* Experience at supervisor level or ready to step up in to a Lead Engineer position
* Strong fault-finding and first-time fix capability
* Experience of commissiong fire alarms, advanced panels and cause and effect changes
* Full, clean UK driving licence
* Able to pass DBS check and BS7858 security screening
* IT competent (PDA, Microsoft Word & Excel)
The Role
Due to continued expansion, EFT Systems – an established life safety and security company with over 50 years’ industry presence – is seeking an experienced Lead Engineer to support large service contracts and installation projects across the North East area.
Key responsibilities include:
* Reactive maintenance and servicing of fire & security systems
* Support and mentor Engineers
* Small works installations and commissioning
* Managing van stock and ordering equipment
* Producing technical surveys to support quotations
* Supervising subcontractors and supporting apprentices
* Maintaining clear communication with customers
* Completing documentation via electronic PDA
Work will cover commissioning of fire alarms, service and repairs of fire extinguishers, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, emergency lighting and monitoring systems.
Package & Benefits
* Door-to-door pay (42.5 hours)
* Overtime paid after 42.5 hours
* Frequent overtime available.
* OTE of £50k+ with overtime and call outs
