*

Force gauges

*

Torque transducers

*

Material testing machines

*

Universal testing machines (UTM)

*

Hydraulic and mechanical force systems

You will work to strict laboratory procedures and uncertainty budgets, ensuring traceability to national standards.

Technical Experience Required

To be considered, you should have:

*

Proven hands-on experience in force calibration within a UKAS environment

*

Strong working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025

*

Understanding of uncertainty calculations and measurement traceability

*

Experience working with load cells, torque systems or mechanical testing equipment

*

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications

*

Strong numerical skills and confidence working with Excel

*

High attention to detail and methodical working approach

Mechanical or engineering qualifications (HNC/HND, NVQ, apprenticeship or equivalent) are advantageous.

What Makes This Role Attractive?

*

Specialist force-focused position (not generalist calibration)

*

Stable, accredited laboratory with consistent workflow

*

Clean, structured day-shift hours

*

Clear technical development within metrology

*

Opportunity to build deeper expertise in force measurement systems

This role suits someone who values precision, compliance and technical accuracy, and wants to work within a professional calibration environment.
