Furnaceman / Furnace Operator
Location: Brownhills
Job Type: Full-Time – Temp to Perm
Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour to £17.50 per/hour plus bonus
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 10.15 am - 16.00 pm 08.30 am - 17.00 pm Friday
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Furnaceman / Furnace Operator to join a reputable and growing manufacturer based in Brownhills. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with foundry experience who is looking for stable hours and the chance to secure a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate induction furnaces
* Safely load and unload materials
* Monitor temperatures, timings, and treatment processes to ensure quality standards are met
* Carry out basic equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance issues
* Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
* Maintain a clean and organised working environment
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Furnaceman or within a foundry environment
* Strong awareness of workplace health and safety
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Reliable with good timekeeping
* Strong attention to detail
