Job Title: GCSE Maths and English Tutor SEN Focus (Part-Time)
Location: Oldham
Start Date: After Easter Half Term
Pay Rate: GBP25 per hour (starting rate)
Job Type: Temporary | Part-Time

We are seeking an experienced GCSE Maths and English Tutor to support students in Oldham, with a particular focus on learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver personalised, one-to-one tuition that helps students improve their grades, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

This role is ideal for tutors who have hands-on experience teaching GCSE content and working with SEN students, offering the chance to make a tangible difference in a flexible, part-time schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver one-to-one GCSE Maths and English tuition tailored to individual SEN learning needs.
Adapt lesson content, pace, and teaching strategies to support a variety of learning profiles, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
Support students in developing subject knowledge, exam techniques, and confidence.
Build positive, trusting relationships to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback to students, parents, carers, and professionals.

Essential Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience tutoring or teaching GCSE Maths and/or English.
Proven experience supporting students with SEN in a 1:1 or small group setting.
Right to work in the UK.
Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.

Desirable Qualifications:
PGCE in Secondary Education and/or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Familiarity with exam preparation and assessment strategies for GCSE learners.
Experience with students who have Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
