General Foreman

My client is a leading civil engineering contractor who are currently looking to recruit an experienced General Foreman to join their team on a water treatment site. This is a great opportunity to join an established contractor delivering key civil works within the water sector.

General Foreman Responsibilities:

Supervising day-to-day site activities and coordinating site teams

*

Managing subcontractors, plant, and labour on site

*

Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification

*

Overseeing civil engineering works including drainage, concrete, and infrastructure works

*

Carrying out site briefings and toolbox talks

*

Working closely with the Site Manager and Engineers to ensure smooth delivery of the project

*

Monitoring work progress and maintaining high quality standards

*

Ensuring health, safety, and environmental regulations are followed at all times

General Foreman Requirements:

*

Previous experience working as a General Foreman on water or wastewater treatment schemes

*

Strong background in civil engineering works

*

Ability to manage multiple work fronts and coordinate site teams

*

SMSTS or SSSTS qualification

*

Valid CSCS card

*

First Aid at Work (preferred)

*

Strong leadership and communication skills
