We are seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead a large-scale, 24/7 operation within a fast-paced environment. With responsibility for Operations and Transport managing a Team of 500+ is a high-impact role requiring a natural leader who can navigate complexity, drive change, and deliver operational excellence. This is not a "sit behind the desk" role - we're looking for someone who is visible, engaged, and thrives on being at the heart of the operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, and develop a team of 500+ across a 24/7 operation
Drive significant operational change, embedding structure, discipline, and consistency
Implement robust processes to improve productivity, efficiency, and throughput
Increase operational capacity and volume through continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure high standards of health & safety, compliance, and operational performance
Build a strong leadership culture across all levels of the operation
Take full ownership of site performance, including KPIs, cost control, and service deliveryKey Skills/Experience:
Proven experience operating at General Manager level within large, complex operations
Strong background in managing large, manual 24/7 operation
Demonstrable success in leading and delivering significant operational change
A hands-on, visible leadership style with the ability to engage and influence at all levels
Strong process-driven mindset with a track record of implementing improvements
Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
