Are you a senior finance professional who is looking for a part-time position working 2-3 days week?
I’m pleased to be working with a client in the Peterborough area on a unique role for the not-for-profit sector and am looking for an experience senior finance professional to provide strategic financial leadership on a part-time basis (approximately 2 days per week).
The role
Working closely with senior leadership and a small team, you will play a key role in shaping financial strategy, supporting decision-making, and ensuring strong financial governance.
Key responsibilities
Contribute to long-term strategic planning, including development of a 5-year financial plan
Provide financial insight to support organisational performance and sustainability
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and governance frameworks
Support audit processes and stakeholder reporting
Strengthen financial systems, controls, and processes
Partner with leadership to drive effective financial decision-making
Key Requirements
Proven experience at Head of Finance or Financial Controller level
Strong strategic and commercial acumen
Experience in SMEs, not-for-profit, or similarly complex environments
Ability to operate effectively in a part-time, high-impact role
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Working Pattern
Approximately 2 days per week
Mix of operational finance and strategic leadership responsibilities
Salary £60,000 - £65,000 FTE
