Apply NowWe are seeking an experienced and forward‑thinking Head of Repairs to lead our Repairs and Maintenance service, ensuring safe, high‑quality homes for our residents across the borough. This is a pivotal leadership position within the Council’s Housing directorate, responsible for delivering a modern, customer‑focused, and efficient repairs service.
Key Responabilities:
* Lead and manage the council’s responsive repairs, voids and disrepair service.
* Manage contractors, budgets, procurement, and performance frameworks.
* Drive service improvements to enhance resident satisfaction and reduce backlogs.
* Lead multi‑disciplinary teams and promote a resident‑first, high‑performance culture.
* Support digital transformation and smarter working initiatives.
About you:
* Senior leadership experience in housing repairs, maintenance or property services.
* Strong knowledge of compliance, contracts, and housing legislation.
* A proven track record of improving service delivery and operational performance.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* A commitment to delivering high‑quality.
