HGV1 Container Driver

Streamline Recruitment are currently recruiting HGV Class Container Drivers for limited company bookings in Grays, Essex, with immediate work available.

Job Details

* Position: HGV Class 1 Container Driver

* Location: Grays, Essex

* Work Type: Container Haulage

* Shift: PM

* Start Times: Between 15:00 and 20:00

* Rate: £20.00 per hour

* Guaranteed Hours: 10 hours per shift

Key Duties

* Safely operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle for container deliveries and collections.

* Collect and deliver shipping containers to and from ports, depots and customer locations.

* Complete container haulage work in accordance with company procedures.

* Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects promptly.

* Ensure containers are correctly secured and transported safely.

* Complete delivery and collection paperwork accurately.

* Follow all relevant DVSA, drivers' hours and working time regulations.

* Maintain a professional and courteous approach when dealing with customers, depots and site staff.

* Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, secure and in good working condition.

* Adhere to all site, port and company health & safety procedures.

Requirements

* Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.

* Previous container haulage experience is essential.

* Valid Port Card(s) required. (LGP)

* Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.

* Reliable, punctual and professional.

* Good communication skills.

* Ability to work independently and manage deliveries efficiently.
